•$175,000 - $225,000•Onsite

About The Position

Teamshares is seeking a President to lead an established automotive aftermarket supplies distributor serving business customers across New York City from two locations. The company has a loyal customer base and a long-tenured team of about 30 employee owners. The President will have full responsibility for business strategy, operations, and P&L management, reporting to a Teamshares Industry Lead who supports a portfolio of companies in the sector. The role is based in the New York City area and requires full-time, in-person work split between the company’s two locations. The President will strengthen the company’s financial foundation by taking ownership of accounting and financial reporting, cleaning up the books, establishing monthly close and reporting practices, implementing customer credit controls, and creating a single source of truth for financials and inventory. They will lead transitions to new accounting or ERP software and migrate banking and payroll while maintaining uninterrupted daily service. The role also includes developing repeatable operating processes and metrics, growing revenue through marketing, outreach, new product lines, and new accounts, and managing expenses, capital purchases, and growth initiatives with Teamshares and financial partners. During the ownership transition, the President will maintain continuity for customers, employees, and vendors; work with the outgoing owner; assume key supplier and purchasing relationships; and partner with the founding family’s operations leader. The President will handle HR and personnel matters, define team roles, develop the office and administrative function, and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, the local community, and mission-aligned organizations. In partnership with Teamshares and fellow shareholders, they will support the transition to employee ownership and foster an owner’s mindset and positive, values-aligned culture. Once foundational improvements are in place, the President will lead growth initiatives with employee owners and the sales team.
