About The Position

The President & CEO will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of our highly engaged team to champion the mission of the organization to prevent and respond to child sexual abuse. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO provides strategic, financial, and operational leadership to ensure high-quality services, long-term sustainability, and community impact. In this role, you will bring passion for our mission as an organization and a desire to make a direct impact on the lives of children and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, or social work preferred)
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience to advance the Center's mission, vision, and long-term impact, including leading development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to achieve long term, sustainable impact.
  • Be a collaborative systems thinker to develop and lead strategic partnerships with state and national advocacy centers to drive impact, promote shared goals, and community engagement.
  • Establish and enforce policies and regulations along with effective systems and procedures to support high-quality service delivery and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Ensure long-term financial sustainability through sound fiscal management, oversight of budgeting and financial planning, understanding federal, state, and local grants through transparent financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Lead the organization's fund development strategy including major gifts, grants, and donor engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, and funding partners in conjunction with the Development Director, Development Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Serve as the primary external ambassador for the Center, strengthen community partnerships, advance public awareness, and position the organization as a leader in child advocacy and trauma-informed care.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors to support effective governance, strategic decision-making, and transparent communication regarding organizational performance and strategy.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talented staff and leadership while fostering a trauma-informed organizational culture that prioritizes staff wellbeing, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Establish positive relationships with MDT partner agencies, both co-located and offsite, foster collaboration and effective service delivery.
