About The Position

Brella is seeking a Preschool Teacher to work with 24-month-old children. This role involves building a new model of child care that meets the varying needs of modern families while delivering high-quality experiences for children. The ideal candidate embraces change, is eager to learn, takes pride in their work, and views every interaction with children as a learning opportunity.

Requirements

• At least 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma.
• 12 Early Childhood Education units (including 3 units specific to infant care for those working in infant rooms).
• At least 6+ months working in a licensed child care facility.
• Meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services / Licensing.
• Ability to display a patient and calm demeanor coupled with a loving approach to every child.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to take direction from staff to support rooms as needed.
• Knowledge in early learning/development and group care settings, including knowledge of current research, regulations, and best practices.
• Comfort using technology.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of Reggio, RIE and Montessori methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and loving environment for children in collaboration with co-teachers.
• Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance.
• Engage children with age-appropriate, stimulating, and thoughtful materials.
• Plan and implement Brella curriculum, developing daily modifications as needed for age groups or emergent class interests.
• Ensure the classroom is safe by following procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers to foster positive relationships and center culture.
• Communicate effectively with families during drop-off/pick-ups and provide curriculum and development updates.
• Work with co-teachers, Leads, and admin to implement child support plans.
