About The Position

World of Dreams is seeking an experienced early childhood professional for a unique dual-role position as a Preschool Teacher & Assistant Director. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is also ready to take on leadership responsibilities. As a Preschool Teacher, you will work with 4–5-year-old children, creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. As the Assistant Director, you will support center leadership with daily operations, staff support, family communication, and maintaining a positive environment for children and teachers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in the childcare/early childhood field required
  • CPR & First Aid certification required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, support, and work collaboratively with a team
  • Passion for early childhood education and working with young children
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Willingness to learn and grow into the administrative responsibilities of the position
  • Ability to balance classroom responsibilities with administrative duties
  • A consistent employment history and longevity in previous positions is important

Nice To Haves

  • Management or administrative experience is preferred, but not required
  • Candidates without previous management experience may be considered if they have strong classroom experience and demonstrate leadership potential

Responsibilities

  • Provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 4–5
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences and activities
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with families and team members
  • Support the Center Director with daily center operations
  • Assist and support teachers and classroom staff
  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment
  • Assist with staff communication, scheduling, and day-to-day needs
  • Support enrollment, family communication, and center organization as needed
  • Help ensure center policies and childcare regulations are followed
  • Step into a leadership role when the Center Director is unavailable
