Preschool & Gymnastics Teacher The Little Gym of Puyallup
About The Position
The Little Gym of Puyallup offers a “Serious Fun” approach to early learning development, striving to grow students mentally, emotionally, and physically. This role involves maintaining and progressing the preschool enrichment program, WonderKids Club, and teaching weekly gymnastics-based classes for 3-5 year olds. The ideal candidate is dedicated, creative, organized, and passionate. WonderKids Club operates Monday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (September-June), with additional weekday evening and/or weekend shifts possible. The position offers a fun and engaging work environment where employees can make a difference.
Requirements
- Have an upbeat and positive attitude.
- Previous childcare experience required.
- CPR certified preferred (If not, must be willing to become certified).
Nice To Haves
- A degree (or in the process of acquiring a degree) in early childhood development, education, or related studies preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead students through a variety of games, sensory activities, science experiments, movement songs, letter and number play.
- Maintain and progress the preschool enrichment program, WonderKids Club.
- Teach weekly gymnastics-based classes.
- Engage students in a fun, interactive learning experience.
- Efficiently teach curriculum.
- Think creatively by adding elements/activities that correspond and enhance learning units.
- Understand behaviors of 3-5 year olds and manage accordingly.
- Be willing to teach gymnastics classes as well as lead the WonderKids Club program.
