Preschool Enrichment Teacher- Part Time
About The Position
We are seeking an engaging and energetic Preschool Teacher to support enrichment programs, including cooking, yoga, and sports-based activities. The role creates a fun, safe, and structured environment where children can explore new skills, build confidence, and develop social-emotional growth through hands-on experiences. Programs take place during the school day and integrate enrichment into the daily classroom experience. Activities may include kitchen-based learning, physical movement, and outdoor play. The enrichment teacher helps children explore, move, create, and grow in a supportive environment while building confidence and lifelong skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead engaging, high-energy activities while maintaining structure and safety.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and engaging personality.
- Creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong focus on child safety and well-being.
- Ability to foster confidence and independence in young learners.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
Nice To Haves
- Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
- Experience or interest in cooking or food-based learning.
- Experience or interest in youth fitness, yoga, or movement activities.
- Experience or interest in sports or recreational programming.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Kids Café hands-on cooking activities and simple recipes.
- Support older children in more advanced kitchen experiences through Culinary Club.
- Facilitate movement, mindfulness, and storytelling activities through Young Yogis.
- Engage children in active, play-based soccer sessions through Kickstart Soccer.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, exploration, teamwork, coordination, physical development, and social-emotional learning.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supervise children during enrichment sessions, maintaining appropriate ratios and active engagement.
- Adapt activities to varying developmental levels and learning styles.
- Help children build practical life skills, including following directions, problem-solving, and cooperation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of materials, especially in food-based programs.
- Communicate positively with parents and school leadership about children’s participation and progress.
