About The Position

Bethesda Country Day School is seeking a creative and passionate Preschool Assistant Teacher to support its preschool program. The program balances learning and play to help children develop the academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and beyond. The teacher inspires curiosity, nurtures confidence, and creates meaningful learning experiences for young learners. This is a part-time position with working hours Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a nurturing, enthusiastic personality.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote exploration, early literacy, and critical thinking.
• Encourage independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning.
