Preschool Classroom Support
About The Position
Anderson County Schools Preschool is seeking a flexible Preschool Classroom Support who can work at multiple locations throughout the school district. The role supports the classroom teacher in the instruction and care of preschool children ages 3–5, guiding children in activities that promote social interaction, physical movement, and intellectual growth. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM. Pay is based on the ACS Educational Assistants pay scale with applicable supplements. Starting pay may be increased for verified experience and for candidates holding an advanced credential, such as an associate or bachelor's degree.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent for hire.
- Must complete a Child Development Associate credential or equivalent within 2 years of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Classroom experience is preferred.
- Spanish speaking is desired but not required.
