About The Position

The Preschool Classroom Aide Substitute helps create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and build skills for kindergarten success. The role supports children's development and well-being, assists with classroom activities and daily operations, partners with families, and collaborates with teachers and staff on school readiness goals. This is an active, hands-on role supporting young children throughout the day. The position may occasionally require driving, flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

The selected applicant must submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check to determine eligibility for employment and must bring an acceptable form of identification to the fingerprinting appointment. Failure to submit fingerprints will make the applicant ineligible for hire within the program.

Requirements

• Submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check and provide acceptable identification at the fingerprinting appointment.
• Be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using hands for classroom activities.
• The position may occasionally require driving, flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
