About The Position

St. Mary Magdalene School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for its combined classroom of children ages 3–4. The Assistant Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing classroom that encourages curiosity and supports children’s early experiences of learning, kindness, and faith. The role supports children’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth within a community rooted in Catholic education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Recent satisfactory FBI and BCI background checks.
• Must participate in Virtus Protecting God’s Children training.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with children is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
• Patience, compassion, and genuine enjoyment of young children.
• Collaborative team-player approach and ability to thrive in a supportive environment.
• Inspired by the mission and values of Catholic education and a desire to live them out in the classroom.

• Be a steady, encouraging teammate to the Lead Teacher and school community.
