About The Position

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a full-time Preschool Assistant Teacher to work alongside the Lead Teacher and help create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom for preschool-aged children. The role supports learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. No previous experience is required; training and ongoing support are provided. The position begins November 1, 2026, or sooner.

Requirements

• Interest in early childhood education and child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, dependable, and positive attitude.
• Ability to create a warm and supportive learning environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to complete all required state licensing trainings.

Nice To Haves

• Previous childcare or preschool experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities.
• Support children's learning through play, art, music, storytelling, movement, and hands-on experiences.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Foster positive relationships and help children develop confidence and independence.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of learning materials.
• Observe children's progress and communicate daily updates with families as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Follow all health, safety, and state licensing requirements.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide a positive learning experience.
