About The Position

This role is for a PreSales Specialist at Softchoice, a software-focused IT solutions and services provider. The specialist will focus on Cisco solutions, helping organizations become more agile and innovative. The role involves understanding customer challenges with IT investments and strategically positioning Cisco solutions to drive business outcomes, reduce complexity and risk, and manage costs through a consultative sales approach. The position is hybrid, requiring 1-3 days per month in the local office.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of Cisco products and services
  • 3-5+ years of sales experience (with Cisco products)
  • Excellent customer-facing presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Cisco Sales or Technical Certification preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Enterprise Agreements, and Support (e.g., SmartNet, Success Tracks) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Cisco sales strategy in the assigned territory, meeting sales targets and improving market position.
  • Expand Cisco investments within the existing customer base and drive new customer acquisition to increase Cisco revenue and gross profit.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Enterprise, Public Sector, and Telesales teams, as well as Operations, Marketing, and Services organizations, to position Cisco solutions based on market demands and trends.
  • Participate in category Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives to strategically engage customers and motivate sales teams.
  • Position Softchoice-specific Cisco offerings and support sales teams in presenting Cisco value propositions.
  • Introduce, position, and fulfill Softchoice-WWT Cisco Assessments and strategic purchasing modalities.
  • Support the local Cisco partnership.
  • Ensure the right solution is positioned with the winning value proposition through consultative selling skills and engaging appropriate Softchoice and Cisco resources.
  • Drive a robust pipeline of Cisco Sales Opportunities.
  • Provide Pre-Sales Support to Sales Reps & Customers on Cisco Offerings & Solutions.
  • Identify new Enterprise Agreement Prospects and lead opportunities from inception through close.
  • Collaborate with sales to develop Cisco business plans for assigned accounts and foster opportunities to improve sales performance.
  • Uncover and lead strategic Assessment opportunities to provide data-driven insights and uncover new opportunities for expansion.
  • Participate in local customer events to deliver Softchoice content.
  • Develop and deliver training to Softchoice sales teams on Cisco products.
  • Engage with local Softchoice sales teams to sell jointly into sales territories and customer accounts.
  • Forecast, track, and analyze the bookings/pipeline of business in the territory.
