About The Position

Westborn Market is hiring a Prepared Foods Manager to lead its prepared foods team. The position combines management skills with culinary experience and requires operating within established labor and purchasing budgets. The manager schedules and supports staff, manages ordering and merchandising, oversees food handling and department operations, and provides exceptional customer service. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Store Directors and Prepared Foods Director.

Requirements

• Culinary experience is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral, written, and email correspondence.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, lift, and reach repeatedly in all directions.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the shift, except during breaks and meal periods.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff to cover peak days and times while staying within labor budgets.
• Place product orders based on sales and store demand.
• Create and set up successful merchandising displays.
• Assist staff with prep work, counter service, and opening and closing duties.
• Train, manage, and develop department staff.
• Stock and rotate products according to food-handling standards.
• Prepare, package, and price products as directed.
• Maintain current product knowledge and awareness of food trends.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Provide and lead with exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude throughout the shift.
