About The Position

The Dishwasher supports the smooth operation of the Prepared Foods department by keeping kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware, and utensils clean, sanitary, and orderly. The role is non-exempt and is located in Plymouth, Michigan. It reports to the Prepared Foods Manager, Store Directors, and Prepared Foods Director.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to organize and work efficiently.
• Ability to handle average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or stand and/or walk for more than four hours per day.
• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Ability to follow basic safety precautions in a work environment with some exposure to hazards or physical risks.

Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen equipment, food storage containers, plates, and utensils using appropriate materials.
• Operate a dishwashing machine.
• Monitor cleaning-supply inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
• Identify and report repair needs.
• Clean and organize dish storage as needed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Assist kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow instructions or assignments from authorized personnel.
