Prepared Foods Assoc - Part Time
About The Position
The Prepared Foods Associate provides prompt, courteous customer service and prepares, handles, displays, and maintains products in the prepared foods department. Duties include weighing, wrapping, coding, and pricing products; presenting items in cases to high standards; making sandwiches and hoagies for the cold case; measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes or directions; and cooking, seasoning, or baking foods as directed. The associate also sets up and breaks down cases, stocks the freezer, checks and removes outdated items, rotates products according to company standards, maintains knowledge of department products, and keeps work, display, and storage areas clean, including dishwashing. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The role requires standing, bending forward, stooping, or walking for most of the shift; working briefly in a freezer or cooler; lifting chickens in and out of ovens and a rotisserie; and lifting product cases or containers weighing up to 40 pounds.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to stand, bend forward, stoop, or walk for most of the time on duty.
- Ability to work in a freezer and/or cooler for short periods.
- Ability to lift chickens in and out of ovens and a rotisserie.
- Ability to lift cases or containers of product weighing up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
- Weigh, wrap, code, and price products accurately.
- Display products in cases according to presentation standards.
- Set up and break down cases; stock the freezer; check for and remove outdated items; and rotate products according to company standards.
- Make sandwiches and hoagies for the cold case.
