About The Position

Westborn Market, a third-generation owned and operated business with four locations across Metro Detroit, values quality goods, superior service, and strong team member relationships. This position involves servicing and fulfilling customer orders at the prepared foods counter. The associate is expected to provide professional and efficient service while demonstrating a high level of product knowledge.

Requirements

• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
• Proper phone etiquette while taking orders and messages
• Ability to effectively communicate between peers

• Culinary or food service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares and packages product as directed
• Assists customers with orders placed
• Properly prices merchandise
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
• Maintains current knowledge of product
• Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards
• Provides exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
• Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Samples product at the direction of the department manager
