About The Position

The Block Rogers is seeking Prep Cooks to prepare food according to recipes and restaurant standards. Craft & Crew Hospitality is a hospitality company focused on serving craft food and spirits in a fun, welcoming environment, with values centered on guest satisfaction, crew development, teamwork, creativity, and growth. Its menu includes broasted chicken, sandwiches, burgers, healthy bowls and salads, vegan items, desserts, and a menu for dogs.

Prep Cooks use kitchen equipment and knife skills to prepare a variety of food items. They may also support other kitchen areas, put away food deliveries, and handle restocking, cleaning, and opening or closing duties. Open and flexible availability is preferred, with a combination of day, night, and weekend availability sought.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, with a concentration in high-volume food and beverage service.
• Friendly personality and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well with others and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for hospitality and dedication to customer service.
• Willingness to go the extra mile to meet standards for guest satisfaction, food, cocktails, and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in accordance with recipe specifications and restaurant standards.
• Use kitchen equipment to fry, grill, and sauté food items.
• Use knife skills to chop and slice a variety of food items.
• Assist in other kitchen areas when necessary, such as the line, cleaning, or dishwashing.
• Help put away food deliveries in appropriate storage areas, including the freezer, refrigerator, and dry storage.
• Complete restocking, cleaning, and opening and closing duties.
• Complete other duties as assigned by a leader or manager.
