About The Position

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring part-time Prep Cooks at Banners Kitchen and Tap in Boston, Massachusetts. The Prep Cook prepares food items for guests and supports a positive guest experience in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen environment. Delaware North operates food service locations in the Boston Hub area, including Banners Kitchen & Tap, Momosan, and the Boston Hub Food Hall.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets.
Ability to use kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment.
Ability to follow instructions.
Frequent standing and walking for the entire shift.
Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids.
Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
Ability to frequently immerse hands in water.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Prior food preparation experience.

Responsibilities

Retrieve storage items and measure, portion, and prepare food items in accordance with quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
Communicate with the Chef regarding special instructions or training.
Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform opening, closing, and side work duties according to instructions and guidelines.
Follow safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures, and uphold health codes and sanitation regulations.
