About The Position

Delaware North’s Patina Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for Banners Kitchen & Tap in Boston, Massachusetts. This hospitality leadership role combines high-volume restaurant operations with beverage program leadership. The Assistant General Manager partners with culinary and front-of-house teams to enhance the guest experience through beverage innovation, creative mixology, staff training, and operational excellence. The role supports the General Manager in overseeing front-of-house service and contributes to sales, profitability, cost control, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager, with a focus on beverage management.
• Strong financial and computer skills, including experience working with and understanding P&Ls.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to deal effectively with team members and guests.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience managing beverage programs, developing cocktail offerings, driving beverage sales, controlling costs, and leading bar teams.
• Passion for spirits, wine, beer, and emerging beverage trends.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to train, manage, and oversee front-of-house service staff, ensuring products and professional services meet budget, policy, procedure, and quality expectations.
• Ensure Health Department regulations are followed and the restaurant is clean, sanitized, and safe for team members and guests.
• Collaborate with leaders to maximize sales potential and profitability through promotions, guest satisfaction, monitoring product and labor costs, and reviewing financial information.
• Order and conduct weekly inventory of wine, liquor, and other supplies.
• Build rapport with restaurant guests and ensure they have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
• Support beverage program development, cocktail offerings, beverage sales, cost control, and bar team leadership.
