About The Position

My Green Lunch is looking for self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Prep Cook. You will work with a great team, in a Family feeling environment. Prep cooks perform cold and hot food prep. Portioning and packaging of meals that meet the expectations and quality required of My Green Lunch. This position will primarily be focused on working with our hot prep team with portioning meals and sealing. This position requires 4:00AM start time, as well as a Sunday shift up to 3 times per month, as per the posted schedule. Ability to arrive on time and reliability is extremely important.

Requirements

At least 6 months of fast paced restaurant or catering experience.
Strong attention to detail & use time efficiently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and independently.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Have a Food Handlers Certificate or be willing to get one in a timely manner upon starting work.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of both Spanish and English is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform cold and hot food prep.
Portioning and packaging of meals that meet the expectations and quality required of My Green Lunch.
Primarily focused on working with our hot prep team with portioning meals and sealing.
Measure precisely and follow specific detailed instructions in order to assure standardized meals.
Use kitchen equipment and general cleaning materials.
Perform basic food preparation practices and learn the methods and procedures of large-scale lunch production.
Lift 50 lbs.
Obtain a Food Handlers Certificate or be willing to get one in a timely manner upon starting work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
