About The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for storing, cooking, and helping to prepare nutritious high-quality food and a superb dining experience for residents at the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- ServSafe certification
- 1+ years of kitchen experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as per recipes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
- Assist in identifying food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus and report to the dining leadership team.
- Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery; ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of all delivered foods and ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
