About The Position

Hank's Seafood Restaurant, part of the Makeready collection, is seeking an AM Prep Cook. The restaurant is located in a renovated turn-of-the-century warehouse overlooking the Charleston City Market, with an ambiance reflecting Charleston's port history and family roots.

The Prep Cook lays the groundwork for dishes by preparing items such as sauces, sides, ingredients, and recipes. The role requires efficient, careful preparation to ensure consistent products and quality. The Prep Cook contributes to the kitchen team by following directions and communicating with the chef team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related professional cooking experience.
• Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment.
• Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures.
• Strong communication skills with both front- and back-of-house teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cooking environment.

Nice To Haves

• A culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, and organize a workstation.
• Prepare a variety of ingredients and recipes efficiently and on time.
