About The Position

Lorien Bel Air is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Dietary Prep Cook and Cook to join its culinary team in Bel Air, Maryland. The role supports food preparation and meal service for residents in a healthcare and senior living environment, helping provide nutritious, appetizing meals and a positive dining experience. The position offers a starting rate of $16.00 per hour and same-day pay for all employees. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Shifts include 5:30 AM–2:00 PM and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (combined), as well as 11:00 AM–7:30 PM. Availability every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, is required. The role may involve safely lifting, pushing, and pulling 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and commitment to quality resident service.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certification.
• Previous food service, dietary aide, prep cook, restaurant, or healthcare dining experience.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, nursing home, rehabilitation, or healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items.
• Assist with meal service for residents in a long-term care and assisted living setting.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
