About The Position

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position responsible for unboxing furniture, preparing it for delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The role involves various physical tasks and requires attention to detail and effective communication.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects.
Open availability, weekends as needed.

Experience with scan guns.
Experience with auditing manifests.

Responsibilities

Unbox all furniture in the assigned area, completing one door before moving to the next.
Place product on carts for ease of movement.
Install all feet and knobs on furniture.
Assist Deluxers with wiping down furniture and placing it in the appropriate staging lane in stop order.
Stock all cages with merchandise.
Ensure all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properly.
Assemble merchandise for next-day deliveries.
Keep the warehouse area clean.
Open merchandise.
Perform maintenance of all cages.
Remove trash from the work area.
Sweep the work area.
Inspect merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections.
Use proper procedures when working with knives, flat carts, and lifting merchandise.
Account for all scheduled items for next-day delivery by checking for shortages through auditing the manifest.
Assist other departments in the warehouse as needed.
Check daily closing assignments and responsibilities.
Use excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
