About The Position

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position responsible for unboxing furniture, preparing it for delivery, and maintaining the warehouse environment. The role involves meticulous attention to detail in inspecting merchandise, ensuring accurate labeling, and assisting with various warehouse operations. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Positive attitude when working with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Unbox all furniture in the assigned area, completing one door before moving to the next.
• Place product on carts for ease of movement.
• Install all feet and knobs on furniture.
• Assist Deluxers with wiping down furniture and placing it in the appropriate staging lane in stop order.
• Stock all cages with merchandise.
• Ensure all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properly.
• Assemble merchandise for next day deliveries.
• Keep warehouse area clean.
• Open merchandise.
• Maintenance of all cages.
• Removing trash from the work area.
• Sweeping work area.
• Inspect merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections.
• Use proper procedures when working with knives, flat carts, and lifting merchandise.
• Account for all scheduled items for next day delivery by auditing the manifest for shortages.
• Assist other departments in the warehouse as needed.
• Check daily closing assignments and responsibilities.
• Use excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.
