Syracuse Athletics and Legends are engaged in a 10-year partnership that will integrate data and analytics, marketing, ’Cuse Athletics Fund annual giving, premium seating, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach. Legends will manage all aspects of the ’Cuse Athletics Fund annual fundraising program, identifying effective fan and donor engagement strategies to amplify philanthropic giving and other opportunities. The partnership will also ensure that the Orange build upon their legacy of supporting student-athletes in the classroom and on the playing fields. Legends will also team with Syracuse University’s Falk College of Sport to provide education, mentorship, and career opportunities to students. As a member of the Syracuse Athletics team, the Premium Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around season, group, corporate hospitality and premium seating packages for the Syracuse football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball programs. The company is seeking an experienced team member with a positive, results-oriented approach to sales and VIP experiences, who can communicate clearly across all platforms and work diligently to identify and convert new ticket members.

Requirements

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient and calm under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independently
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in software programs including Salesforce CRM and Archtics
  • Effectively communicate with donors and C-level clients
  • Resourceful, innovative and forward thinking
  • Ability to generate new business from companies and individuals not currently supporting Syracuse Athletics.
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or sports industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience selling six and seven figure deals in the professional or collegiate sports and entertainment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Offer a full menu of club, corporate box, premium seat packages as well as VIP experiences for Syracuse football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Execute outbound sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold calling, and referrals from current customers, being accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals.
  • Identify and manage a portfolio of premium season ticket members, alumni and fans with specific affiliation to Syracuse athletics.
  • Cultivate client relationships with Syracuse Athletics using primarily online digital strategies, in addition to phone and in-person outreach.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Work in conjunction with Syracuse’s ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days (including Holidays).
