About The Position

The Premium Hospitality Bartender prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking the bar, preparing garnishes and other perishables, taking drink orders, mixing and presenting drinks to standard recipes, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, organized, and attractive bar area. The bartender follows applicable liquor regulations and company procedures, verifies guest identification, and responds appropriately to guest inebriation.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Take and/or process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; and practice prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning tasks, follow health and safety standards, and keep the work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
