PREMIUM BARTENDER
About The Position
Prepare and serve premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes, techniques, and presentation standards. Provide warm, attentive, personalized service and knowledgeable recommendations, including cigar-friendly beverage pairings. Maintain knowledge of beverage and cigar offerings, daily features, events, and lounge standards. Process transactions accurately and responsibly, follow alcohol-service and gaming policies, and keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and presentation-ready. Perform setup, breakdown, restocking, inventory-related communication, product rotation, and waste or breakage reporting as assigned. Work collaboratively with lounge, service, management, and casino teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of high-volume bartending experience.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, mixology techniques, and premium service standards.
- Willingness and ability to learn premium cigar basics, pairings, and lounge product knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional appearance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a cigar lounge environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) license.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions clearly.
- Must meet Michigan gaming regulatory, union membership, and property employment requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, whiskey, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages using approved recipes, techniques, and presentation standards.
- Recommend beverages and cigar-friendly pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Greet bar guests and provide attentive, personalized service.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, cigar selection, daily features, premium spirits, events, and lounge standards.
- Process transactions using POS systems; handle cash responsibly and follow tab, comp, void, and payment procedures.
- Monitor guest consumption and comply with responsible alcohol-service standards, TIPS requirements, MLCC regulations, and casino policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation, stock levels, glassware, garnish readiness, and presentation throughout the shift.
- Perform bar setup, breakdown, restocking, par communication, and product-handling duties as assigned.
- Assist with inventory control, requisition communication, product rotation, and waste or breakage reporting as applicable.
- Collaborate with servers, hosts, management, runners, cigar lounge team members, and casino personnel.
