About The Position

The Premium Bartender serves classical cocktails and provides attentive guest service. The role includes greeting customers, answering questions, recommending menu items, maintaining and stocking the bar, processing orders, and completing cash, inventory, and sanitation procedures. The bartender must ensure alcoholic beverages are served only to guests of legal age and take appropriate steps to limit alcohol-related problems and liability.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to serve classical cocktails.
• Ability to stand for long periods and actively engage physically with guests.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds or more of the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to react with physical and mental alertness in emergencies.
• Physical stamina and agility to remain mobile for long periods.
• Ability to lift or move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move easily and quickly from sitting to standing.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve the cash bag from the vault and verify the cash amount.
• Count stock and verify the amounts against the stand sheet.
• Ensure the stand is stocked with product and clean.
• Fill guest orders quickly and efficiently using the POS and credit card machine.
• Check valid identification and ensure alcoholic beverages are served only to guests of legal age.
• Take steps to limit problems and liability, including encouraging customers to stop drinking or use safe transportation.
• Use a new cup for every beverage transaction.
• Complete the sanitation worksheet.
• Complete an Alcohol Incident Log whenever service is denied to a guest.
• Recount stock, verify it on the stand sheet, and enter end counts into the POS.
• Complete the stand sheet by tallying sales and depositing money.
• Clean the bar area.
• Requisition stock for the next event.
• Turn in the cash bag and report to the vault.
• Report earned tips in the time clock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
