About The Position

Primrose School at Standley Lake is looking for a caring, energetic, and experienced Prekindergarten Teacher to join our amazing team! If you have a passion for early childhood education, love helping children learn and grow, and enjoy creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every child can be successful, we would love to meet you! As a Prekindergarten Teacher, you will help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while implementing the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum. You will build meaningful relationships with children and families, support children’s social-emotional and academic development, and help prepare our students for their next big adventure — Kindergarten! We are especially looking for someone who understands that behavior is communication and is comfortable helping children develop skills for emotional regulation, transitions, peer interactions, communication, and independence.

Requirements

  • Experience working with Prekindergarten-aged children
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent children and children with diverse learning, sensory, behavioral, or developmental needs
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet individual needs, understanding that every child learns and communicates differently
  • Ability to provide a calm, patient, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Uses positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior support strategies
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with families, classroom teachers, leadership, and outside support professionals when appropriate
  • Dependable, flexible, positive, and a strong team player
  • Strong communication and classroom-management skills
  • Meets Colorado licensing requirements for the position or is willing to complete necessary qualifications
