About The Position

Pre-Weight personnel are responsible for having product formulas properly weighed for production mixing. This role involves examining materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards, moving products, materials, or equipment between work areas, communicating with supervisors or peers, and packaging products for storage or shipment. The position requires selecting and measuring or weighing ingredients using English or metric measures and balance scales, following formulas to produce food products to meet customer specifications, and operating or tending machines to mix or blend a wide variety of food products. Additionally, the role involves reading work orders to determine production specifications and information, dumping or pouring specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment, and recording operational and production data on specified forms. Maintaining a clean work area and performing all work in accordance with GMP's, housekeeping, good safety practices, and environmental regulations are also key responsibilities. The job requires frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, standing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talking and hearing. Adherence to all safety and quality procedures/regulations is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Must possess good reading, writing and math skills.
  • Must always be safety conscious
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Capable of working independently
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately
