About The Position
The Pre Service Representative performs all tasks related to pre-registration and registration of inpatients and outpatients in an efficient, accurate and professional manner to ensure that the patient, physician and hospital needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year previous work related experience in a healthcare or general office environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and previous medical billing, registration, radiology scheduling and collection experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, patients/guarantors, insurance companies, physicians and all others.
- Ability to follow directions as outlined and comprehends complex issues.
- Strong computer skills to include typing a minimum of 35 wpm.
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment at times of need.
- Bilingual preferred.
