About The Position

Ensure reliable and efficient delivery of all products scheduled for distribution, manage drivers, and handle customer delivery issues. The role works with Sales, Dispatch, and Warehouse departments to maintain dependable delivery service and resolve operational and customer concerns. Duties may vary and may include other work as required.

Requirements

Either a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field and at least 2 years of directly applicable experience as a delivery driver, sales representative, and/or sales manager; or 7 years of directly applicable experience in those roles.
CDL/DOT card.
Must maintain a valid driver's license.
Experience developing comprehensive strategies, business and sales plans, and schedules.
Three years of experience recruiting, hiring, leading, and managing performance for an outside delivery/sales team.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Previous experience in a union environment.

Responsibilities

Interact with Sales and Dispatch Departments to ensure dependable delivery service.
Maximize delivery efficiencies by achieving daily case targets and customer stop targets.
Ensure proposed scheduling of personnel.
Manage driver check-in and check-out procedures.
Review and investigate previous-day results as necessary.
Complete and review daily route surveys.
Follow up on drivers’ merchandising performance.
Respond to driver issues.
Manage driver returns and breakage on trucks.
Manage and respond to customer issues.
Work with Warehouse, Dispatch, and Sales Departments on issues and their resolution.
Maintain a daily performance log and report warehouse loading results.
Document and investigate driver accidents and personal injury reports.
Ensure company policies are communicated and followed.
Inspect company vehicles and equipment regularly.
Perform other duties as required.
