About The Position

The Pre School Teacher Substitute supervises children in an assigned classroom and helps prepare them for activities. The position also assists children with eating habits, restroom use, and personal hygiene, and ensures they receive physical or medical assistance when necessary. The substitute helps prepare children for dismissal and supports them during dismissal. Other duties may include light janitorial work, food preparation, clerical duties, and participation in applicable in-service trainings or meetings.

Requirements

• Have reliable transportation prior to the date of hire and throughout employment.
• Hold CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the assigned classroom.
• Help prepare children for activities.
• Assist children with eating habits, restroom use, and personal hygiene.
• Ensure each child receives physical and medical assistance when necessary.
• Help prepare children for and assist them during dismissal.
• Perform other duties that may include light janitorial, food preparation, and clerical tasks.
• Participate in applicable in-service trainings or meetings.
