About The Position

Alliance Center for Education is hiring a Preschool Coach to support and mentor classroom staff and help ensure preschool classrooms provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate, high-quality learning environments. The role supports the organization’s mission to teach children and help families grow, including work with Head Start staff and programs in the Charlotte community. The coach provides staff guidance through observations, feedback, and ongoing support using CLASS, ECERS, and BCC Practice-Based Coaching; refines curriculum objectives and evaluation tools; collaborates on annual school-readiness plans; and leads training for staff, parents, and community members. The role also supports child assessments, classroom design reviews, compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, community partnerships, management-team technical assistance, screenings, and evaluations. Compensation is $40,000–$50,000 based on experience. Responsibilities

Coach and mentor Head Start classroom staff through observations, feedback, and ongoing support using CLASS, ECERS, and BCC Practice-Based Coaching.
Continuously refine curriculum objectives and evaluation tools to align with best practices.
Collaborate with the School Readiness Committee to update plans annually.
Lead training sessions for staff, parents, and community members.
Support child assessments and classroom design reviews, and help ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
Represent Head Start in the Charlotte community and build strong partnerships.
Provide technical assistance to the management team.
Assist with screenings and evaluations.
