About The Position

The Pre-Owned Automotive Sales Associate/Product Specialist answers questions about the dealership’s products and services and helps customers feel welcome and supported throughout the car-purchasing process. The role involves assisting customers with purchase decisions, explaining product features and benefits, and working with employees and customers to build relationships and improve the sales process.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday.
• A friendly, competitive personality, particularly when handling objections and negotiating pricing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Computer skills and basic math skills.
• Interest in training additional sales associates after getting up to speed.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Previous experience in automotive sales.
• Punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Offer assistance or direction to customers who enter the dealership.
• Help customers make purchase decisions by asking questions and listening to their needs and responses.
• Work with employees and customers to develop relationships and enhance the sales process.
• Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers.
• Report objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis to the Sales Manager.
• Maintain training requirements to become certified.
