Pre-licensed Therapist
About The Position
Clarvida is seeking a Pre-Licensed Therapist to provide therapeutic services to children and youth involved in the foster care system. The role includes delivering assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing individual counseling to support clients’ mental health needs, transitions, and permanency goals. The therapist works directly with children and youth in foster homes and office settings and provides education, guidance, and support to foster families. The position offers clinical supervision to support licensure, professional growth, and skill development. It includes a quarterly on-call rotation with other team members, providing phone-based crisis support to assigned clients; supervisory consultation and guidance are available during crisis situations. The position is hybrid, with work in the office, foster homes, and community-based settings. It is full-time, with a four-day work week and weekends off.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a Human Services field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience providing services to children, youth, and families in a treatment setting.
- Valid state driver’s license and active automobile insurance.
- If relocating from out of state, ability to obtain an Illinois driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities

- Provide education, guidance, and support to foster families.
- Participate in case assessments and treatment reviews.
- Collaborate with case managers, supervisors, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Participate quarterly in an on-call rotation, providing phone-based crisis support to assigned clients and consulting with supervisors as needed.
