Pre-Doctoral Research Specialist (Real Estate Center)
About The Position
The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Pre-Doctoral Research Specialist to support faculty research in areas including real estate, public policy, and urban economics. This role involves collecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex databases, performing statistical and econometric analyses, writing research reports, and providing research-related programming support. The position requires independent thinking, a thorough understanding of economics, self-motivation, and proficiency in database management. This is a full-time, limited-term position typically intended for recent graduates seeking predoctoral research experience, with a duration of 2 years and no possibility of extension.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or another closely-related discipline
- Computer programming skills
- Ability to analyze data
- Ability to write reports

- Some independent research or research assistantship experience
