About The Position

The Pre-Arranged Funeral Counselor is responsible for meeting personal monthly and annual sales targets through account management, new business development, and sales. The role focuses on serving clients in the assigned region, developing relationships with existing clients, gaining family business, and growing business with new and existing clients. Duties must be performed consistently with company mission and values and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The counselor responds to quote requests, develops business through leads, referrals, or personal knowledge, and provides outstanding service and support to company clients. The position requires comfort with in-home sales and group presentations, along with a creative, outgoing, and energetic approach. The counselor is expected to uphold the company values of Respect, Understanding, Creativity, and Professionalism.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid insurance license may be required in some states.
• High level of comfort using computer systems in a sales environment.
• High level of integrity, dedication, and desire to succeed.
• Desire to help others and earn a competitive income.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Comfort with in-home sales and conducting group presentations.

Nice To Haves

• Strong sales experience in the funeral or life insurance industry is preferred.
• Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.
• Creative, outgoing, and energetic.
