About The Position
As a Registered Nurse in Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) at Touro, you will help prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical histories, assessing readiness, coordinating preoperative testing, and providing education so patients feel confident and prepared for upcoming procedures. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team to support a safe, seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete preoperative nursing assessments and review patients’ medical histories.
- Coordinate necessary testing, documentation, and clearances before surgery.
- Educate patients on preoperative instructions and help ease their concerns.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team to ensure a smooth surgical journey.
