About The Position

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is a multidisciplinary national professional services firm combining legal services, advocacy, and business strategy. The Practice Management Senior Analyst will work closely with the Practice Management and Business Analytics teams, reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Analytics. The role supports reporting and analytics by maintaining existing reports and data sets, assisting with new reporting development, and responding to ad hoc data requests and projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
Advanced Excel skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
2–3 years of analytical experience.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively with end users, peers, and managers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
Self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain existing reports using Excel and Vena.
Assist the Senior Manager Financial Analytics in compiling report packets and supporting regular weekly and monthly reporting using Excel and Vena.
Support testing of newly developed reporting and financial dashboards.
Support the Practice Management team with business unit reporting, including utilization and key performance indicators.
Assist Practice Management with ad hoc data requests and projects.
Own month-end reporting responsibilities in support of the Senior Manager Financial Analytics, Practice Management Team, and Consulting Engagement Team.
Serve as a point of contact in support of the Senior Manager Financial Analytics.
Draft written analysis on assigned Group and Business Unit performance in support of the Senior Manager Financial Analytics and Practice Management Team.
Provide support and guidance to Financial Analysts.
