We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join the Atlanta Hawks Practice Facility Security Team. This vital role is not only ensuring safety but also creating a secure and comfortable environment for everyone who enters the Atlanta Hawks Practice Facility. As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline in protecting our property, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must have a valid GA driver's license
Ability to pass a clear criminal background check and MVR check
High school Diploma or GED
High level of attention to detail and a professional demeanor
Detail-oriented, professional image and integrity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and computer skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods as required
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended hours
Must be physically able to demonstrate proficiency with all security equipment, as well as obtain and keep current First Aid Certification, and pass written tests related to security policies and procedures on an annual basis

2-3 years of security experience
2-4 year college degree

Responsibilities

Monitor and control employee and visitors' access into the facility by checking badges and permitting access to authorized personnel only
Lock/unlock designated areas as requested by authorized personnel
Control the shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing packages
Monitor assigned areas to ensure safety and security
Monitor and operate CCTV cameras, access control systems, and fire safety equipment to detect suspicious activity
Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify and report irregularities or potential security risks
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches; completing detailed and accurate reports
Ensure that security policies, regulations, and safety guidelines are followed
Document and report any incidents, accidents, or violations of security protocols
Conduct personnel bag checks as needed to maintain security protocols
Provide assistance to visitors or employees and address security-related inquiries
Foster a safe and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests
Perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or Company policy
