About The Position

Join the Urology Surgery team as a Practice Assistant, helping create a welcoming experience for patients and supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy clinical practice. The role combines customer service, scheduling, and administrative coordination to help patients navigate care and keep the practice running efficiently. The position is onsite at 2000 Washington Street, with 40 scheduled hours per week on the day shift. Pay is listed as $17.71–$24.94 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–3 years of office experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office systems and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, patient-focused approach and ability to resolve routine issues effectively.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and support them throughout the visit process.
Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment records.
Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, take messages, and coordinate scheduling needs.
Support patient registration, billing, document scanning, medical records, and laboratory result requests.
Handle messages related to prior authorizations, prescription refills, provider questions, and test results.
Serve as a resource for scheduling, registration, and billing systems, and assist with training others.
Perform additional specialized scheduling functions, which may include surgical scheduling and schedule changes or blocking.
Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, forms, records, mail, and faxes.
