About The Position
McGill University is seeking a Practical Instructor (Jazz Guitar) for the Schulich School of Music. This position is part of the Practical Instruction and Small Ensembles unit and will cover the course Practical Instruction (Piano) for the Academic Year 2026-27, from August 31, 2026, to November 30, 2026. Requirements
- M. Mus or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated skill in jazz guitar teaching at an advanced level.
- Active career as a jazz guitarist on the national and international scene.
- Expert knowledge of jazz repertoire and techniques.
- Potential to recruit high-level students.
- Demonstrated pedagogical abilities.
