About The Position
McGill University is seeking a Practical Instructor for Jazz Drums for the Schulich School of Music. This position is part of the Practical Instruction and Small Ensembles program for the 2026-27 academic year, specifically from August 31, 2026, to November 30, 2026. The salary will be based on the MCLIU Appendix 3 salary scale. Requirements
- M. Mus or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated skill in jazz drums teaching at an advanced level.
- Active career as a jazz drummer on the national and international scene.
- Expert knowledge of jazz repertoire and techniques.
- Potential to recruit high-level students.
- Demonstrated pedagogical abilities.
