About The Position

Linkby is at the intersection of PR and performance marketing, seeking a candidate fluent in PR with a genuine interest in performance marketing. This role involves selling AI Visibility / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) solutions to advertisers, helping them understand and leverage a new category. The position requires building partnerships with communications agencies, PR firms, and brand marketing teams using PR background and industry relationships. It is a full-cycle role involving prospecting, closing, onboarding, and account ownership, demonstrating how Linkby's cost-per-click publisher platform is the measurable evolution of earned media. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the Midtown Manhattan office (Tuesday through Thursday).

Requirements

  • 3+ years working at or directly alongside a PR agency or communications firm in a media relations, account management, client-facing, or brand-side capacity; deep familiarity with the earned media world is essential
  • Strong understanding of the PR agency model: pitching, media lists, editorial placements, brand storytelling, and campaign measurement
  • A genuine interest in learning performance marketing and excitement about where PR and performance intersect
  • Full-cycle experience: comfortable both winning new business and owning accounts post-close
  • Consultative sales and account management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships within the PR agency or brand communications community is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, native content, or digital advertising is a plus; we will train the right person
  • CRM experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop partnerships with PR agencies, communications firms, and brand marketing teams across NYC
  • Use PR background and industry fluency to translate Linkby's value proposition to earned media professionals
  • Educate prospects on how performance-based publisher content complements and enhances traditional PR strategies
  • Prospect, pitch, and close new agency and brand partners
  • Own ongoing account relationships including campaign performance, retention, and upsell
  • Attend PR industry events, PRSA gatherings, and agency networking events across NYC
