About The Position

The PPG Chart Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely analysis of patient medical records, which support communication and the delivery of optimum patient care by clinicians and providers. The analyst professionally and courteously contacts referring or specialty offices and other facilities to request records for patient visits or tests. Documents received are reviewed to determine whether additional reports are needed. Records are sent for scanning and indexing in a timely manner, and laboratory results are electronically entered to create a trend of values. The role also includes answering department calls courteously and providing quick releases of information to support continuity of patient care. The analyst is responsible for quality performance and service excellence while adhering to Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to keyboard 35 words per minute.
• Ability to multitask and work independently using critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Basic medical terminology.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Experience with Microsoft suite of products.
