Power Supply Design Engineer

Supermicro•San Jose, CA

About The Position

Supermicro is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer to contribute to the design, review, and validation of server power supplies and related products. The engineer will work hands-on with the engineering team and across departments, and will assist product managers with product design and development. The role calls for experience designing ITE server power supplies for mass production, including PFC, flyback, LLC, phase-shift, power-sharing, and OringFET applications. The position involves designing schematics, generating bills of materials, debugging and testing power supplies, evaluating design approaches, and helping projects meet time-to-market goals while improving cost and product quality. The engineer will collaborate with system and lab validation teams, create and review technical documentation, provide technical support and failure analysis, address customer problems, and evaluate prototypes on the bench.
