About The Position

As a Power HVAC Mechanic in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC division, you will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. The role is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification and air-purification equipment. You will provide customer service, document service work, occasionally travel to customer sites, demonstrate equipment, and assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery. The position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to the position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems on rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Complete service documentation.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
