About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an entry-level Power Engineer II for its Power Systems Development team in Sunnyvale, California. The position reports to the Manager of Power Systems Development, within HPE’s Engineering Services department. The team applies electrical engineering and related disciplines to develop power solutions for HPE products, including front-end and board-mount power technologies. This role is suitable for a new college graduate at the MSEE level. As an individual contributor, the engineer designs portions of power-delivery solutions using established engineering principles and development practices. Work may involve investigating components and designing, simulating, and capturing schematics for board-mount power circuit blocks; supporting power-circuit testing; and participating in functional specification and design reviews. Front-end power work may include system-level conceptualization and participation in the engineering development cycle with HPE suppliers, including prototype testing, system integration, documentation, and manufacturing support. The engineer collaborates with internal and outsourced development partners and contributes to reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products. The position is onsite, with the expectation that the employee will primarily work from an HPE office. The listed annual base salary range for California is USD 84,200–170,300; actual offers may vary based on location, experience, education, training, and skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered. HPE describes its benefits as supporting physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing and provides career-development programs.
